Flag Football - Fall 2014

    Lincoln Recreation is excited for another season of Lincoln Youth Flag Football for all boys and girls in the 1st - 8th grades. LYFF is a non-contact, 5 on 5 league with practices twice a week and games scheduled on Saturday afternoons and early evenings so that you soccer players can play too! The new 1st & 2nd grade division will be a developmental league to introduce the game and work on key fundamental skills.

  • Location: All Flag Football practices and games will be held at Foskett Park (1561 Joiner Pkwy)
  • Coaches Meeting & Clinic: Thursday, 8/21 6:00-8:00pm
  • Player Orientation Day: Saturday, 8/23 @ Foskett Park. 1/2 Graders: 1:00-2:00pm; 3/4 Graders: 2:30-3:30pm; 5/6 Graders: 4:00-5:00pm; 7/8 Graders: 5:30-6:30pm
  • Practices: Twice a week, starting the week of 8/25
  • Games: Saturday afternoons and evenings, 9/13 - 11/1
  • Uniform: All players will be issued a reversible jersey. Sample sizes are available in our office.
  • Mouth Guards: Mouth guards are required for all players. You may pick one up at your local sporting goods store or buy one from us for $5.
  • Cleats: Cleats are recommended but not required. No cleats with metal spikes are allowed.
  • Picture Day: Saturday, October 11th prior to games
